More than 500 officers of the Hanoi Police Department donate blood for children at Vietnam National Children’s Hospital

On the morning of 17 April 2026, more than 500 officers of the Hanoi Police Department participated in a voluntary blood donation program, with the aim of helping sustain life for children receiving treatment at Vietnam National Children’s Hospital. Beyond a community-focused activity, the program also spread the values of compassion, responsibility, and sharing embodied by the People’s Public Security force.

The program was held within the framework of the “Giọt máu nghĩa tình 2026” (Compassionate Blood Drop 2026) campaign, attracting active participation from officers of Emulation Cluster No. 3 of the Hanoi Police Department.

From early morning, participating officers arrived at the Hospital and completed the required health screening procedures to ensure eligibility for blood donation.

“Giọt máu nghĩa tình 2026” was organized in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s traditional day within the Hanoi Police Department.

The donation event took place in a vibrant atmosphere of unity and enthusiasm.

The activity was even more meaningful as it coincided with World Hemophilia Day (17 April)—a day dedicated to raising awareness of hemophilia and inherited bleeding disorders.

Through this program, the Hanoi Police Department continued to affirm its role as a pioneering force in community initiatives—remaining close to the people and committed to serving the public. The officers’ humanitarian actions helped reinforce the image of the People’s Public Security officer as courageous and compassionate.

Vietnam National Children’s Hospital sincerely appreciates and thanks the Hanoi Police Department for this meaningful and valuable support for pediatric patients. Each unit of donated blood helps extend life and serves as a major source of encouragement for children and their families throughout their treatment journey.

The Hospital also hopes that the community, organizations, and individuals will continue to participate in voluntary blood donation to help build a safe blood reserve that is readily available for emergency care and patient treatment.
