On 16/06/2026, Vietnam National Children’s Hospital held a conference of officials, public employees, and staff to consider nominations for the 15th “People’s Physician” and “Meritorious Physician” titles – 2027. The conference aimed to select outstanding individuals worthy of being proposed for these prestigious national honors.
The conference was attended by the Hospital Board of Directors, leaders of departments, offices, and centers, members of the title-review council, and Hospital staff and employees.
People’s Physician, Prof. Tran Minh Dien, MD, PhD presented the career history and outstanding contributions of each individual included in the nomination list for the “People’s Physician” and “Meritorious Physician” titles.
According to the report of the grassroots-level title-review council, all nomination dossiers were carefully appraised based on the prescribed criteria. The review process was conducted in an open, democratic, and transparent manner, ensuring full consideration of criteria related to political qualities, professional ethics, clinical expertise, achievements in medical examination and treatment, scientific research, training, and contributions to the cause of protecting and improving people’s health.
Based on a comprehensive evaluation of the criteria, the Council unanimously selected 11 outstanding individuals from the Hospital who fully met the requirements and standards to be presented to the conference for consideration and voting. Among them, one individual was proposed for the title of “People’s Physician”, and ten individuals were proposed for the title of “Meritorious Physician.”
With a strong sense of democracy and responsibility, delegates cast votes of confidence for each nominated individual.
Based on the voting results at the conference, Vietnam National Children’s Hospital announced the list of individuals proposed for consideration for the 15th “People’s Physician” and “Meritorious Physician” titles – 2027.
All nominees are physicians with strong ethical qualities, dedication to patients, high professional expertise, and outstanding achievements in the care and protection of people’s health.
