The meeting between Vietnam National Children’s Hospital and Delegation of Wallonie-Bruxelles in Vietnam

On 29th August, the Delegation of Wallonie-Bruxelles in Vietnam (WBI) visited Vietnam National Children’s Hospital and introduced the new head of WBI – Mr Pierre Du Vllie.

Vietnam National Children’s Hospital and the Delegation of Wallonie-Bruxelles in Vietnam always pay attention to mental health care in children and adolescents. Specifically, the two sides have implemented cooperative activities through the Agreement 11 and Project 1.5: “Clinical and pedagogical supervision practices for psychologists and mental health professionals in Vietnam in the period of 2022 – 2023”.

At the meeting, Associate Professor. Dr. Tran Minh Dien – Director of Vietnam National Children’s Hospital said: “We are very pleased to welcome the Delegation of Wallonie-Bruxelles in Vietnam. We are always proud to be the leading hospital in pediatric care in Vietnam.There are about 5,000 pediatric patients for medical examination and more than 2,000 inpatients, but we have only 500 and more than 1000 nurses. Therefore, we always focus on taking care of children both physically and mentally. We hope that in the coming time, the two sides will continue to have successful cooperation, which helps to create a bright future for Vietnamese children.”

Mr. Pierre Du Vllie – New Head of Delegation of Wallonie-Bruxelles in Vietnam said:“I am very pleased to visit Vietnam National Children’s Hospital and highly appreciate good cooperation between the two sides. In my new position, I will work with the hospital to implement more effective programs, especially in the area of mental health care for Vietnamese children and teenagers.” He also would like to invite King and Queen of Belgium to visit the hospital in the near future.
