From 08 to 13 June 2026, a Vietnam National Children’s Hospital (VNCH) delegation led by Prof. Tran Minh Dien, MD, PhD (Hospital Director) paid an official visit and held working sessions with several leading hospitals in Taiwan. Notably, during the visit, Vietnam National Children’s Hospital met with Chang Gung Memorial Hospital and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), opening strong prospects for expanded training and scientific research in pediatrics.

Representatives of Vietnam National Children’s Hospital and Chang Gung Memorial Hospital signed a strategic cooperation agreement.
The delegation included Hospital leadership and representatives from multiple specialized centers, departments, and administrative units, including the Heart Center, The Center for Pulmonology and Respiratory Care, Oncology Center, Department of Immunology – Allergy – Rheumatology, The Center for Tropical Diseases, The Center for Endocrinology – Metabolism – Genetics and Molecular Therapy, Center for Regenerative Medicine and Cell Therapy, Department of Infection Prevention and Control, Department of Pharmacy, Department of Information Technology, and other hospital management units.
During the program, the delegation visited and conducted professional exchanges at:
- Mackay Memorial Children’s Hospital
- National Taiwan University Children’s Hospital
- Chang Gung Memorial Hospital
The delegation explored modern hospital governance models, digital transformation in healthcare, workforce training, scientific research, and the development of highly specialized techniques. VNCH physicians also had opportunities for in-depth professional exchange and to learn about the development of key strength areas such as cardiology, immunology–allergy, genetics, pediatric oncology, and infectious diseases.

MoU signing with Chang Gung Memorial Hospital
In particular, on 11/06/2026, the VNCH delegation held a formal working session and signed an MoU with Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, marking a new stage in cooperation between the two institutions. The agreement will serve as an important foundation for expanding coordination in training, research, and professional development—contributing to improved quality of child healthcare in Viet Nam.


Leaders of both hospitals reaffirmed their commitment to long-term cooperation.

Overall, the visit was successfully completed, opening practical opportunities for international cooperation and enabling Vietnam National Children’s Hospital to access advanced management models and modern medical techniques—toward the goal of building a highly specialized, modern pediatric hospital with strong international integration.
