Within the two-week business trip, the delegations of Nuoy Reconstructive International Organization (abbreviated as Nuoy) led by Assoc.Prof. Phuong Nguyen, visited and donated medical equipment to Vietnam National Children’s Hospital. On the morning of March 22nd, Vietnam National Children’s Hospital held a closing ceremony at the hospital and received surgical medical equipment for children with congenital craniofacial abnormalities from Nuoy Organization.
The representatives of Vietnam National Children’s Hospital included Assoc.Prof. Pham Duy Hien – Vice Director, the leaders of Odonto-Stomatology and Maxillofacial Surgery Deparment, Otorhinolaryngology Department, Craniofacial and Plastic Surgery Department, International Cooperation Department and other medical staffs.
On the side of Nuoy Organization, there were Prof. Phuong Nguyen, co-founder of Nuoy Reconstructive International Organization; Mr. Julien Alexandre G.K.Moreau, managing director of Nuoy and Ms. Dinh Minh Anh, executive director of Nuoy.
Nuoy is a non-profit organization, located in the United State and licensed to operate in Vietnam. The organization conducts training and research on reconstructive surgery in healthcare systems in low and middle-income countries. Nuoy has mobilized individuals and organizations in the United States to build projects, support advanced training for doctors, and donate essential medical equipment to the hospital.
During the business trip, the organization continued to share the valued experience and update the latest knowledge for doctors in the Departments of Odonto-Stomatology and Maxillofacial Surgery, Otorhinolaryngology, Craniofacial and Plastic Surgery of Vietnam National Children’s Hospital. Additionally, the delegation also donated valuable medical equipment to support treatment and diagnosis for children with craniofacial deformities, mandibular hypoplasia, facial clefts, lip clefts, etc. These donate goods play an important role in treatment, caring for pediatric patients, and contributing to improving the quality of medical services at the hospital.
On behalf of Vietnam National Children’s Hospital, Assoc.Prof. Pham Duy Hien, Vice Director, expressed deep gratitude to the delegation for their dedication and support to the hospital in many years. At the same time, he also hopes that the two sides will continue to cooperate to enhance the quality of healthcare for children in Vietnam in near future.
Vietnam National Children’s Hospital is a children’s hospital under the management of Ministry of Health. Every year, the hospital receives many children with complex congenital craniofacial deformities. Therefore, similar international cooperation programs are great opportunities for doctors of the hospital to learn from leading experts in field of craniofacial, microsurgery, and hand surgery.
On February 26th and March 9th, 2024, the delegation of Nuoy Organization supported doctors of the hospital to examine for more than 100 pediatric patients with congenital craniofacial deformities.
