From 10 and 11th of July, 2023, KidsCareEverywhere organization led by PhD.Dr. Ron Dieckmann granted Vietnam National Children’s Hospital a free access and conducted training program to use DynaMed application – an information database, a clinical reference tool from the most reliable and up-to-date medical fact all over the world.
KidsCareEverywhere (KCE) is a US non-governmental organization, with the aim of bringing evidence-based medical knowledge and updated medical documents from around the world to health systems in developing countries, including Vietnam. Over the years, the KCE organization has trained to use and given free access to the DynaMed application – a leading advanced application in supporting doctors to make clinical treatment decisions. It can be used via mobile phone or desktop application. DynaMed brings the most up-to-date medical information knowledge, based on evidence-based medicine and so on to users. Currently, KCE has empowered more than 10,000 clinicians in 24 countries, thereby saving millions of children’ lives.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Minh Dien – Director of Vetnam National Children’s Hospital welcomed and respectfully thanked the KidsCareEverywhere organization for accompanying and donating meaningful software to the hospital. Vietnam National Children’s Hospital is aspecialized pediatric hospital of the Ministry of Health. On average, the hospital receives 4,000-5,000 babies for medical examination and has about 2,000 babies in inpatient treatment with severe illnesses.
With such a large number of seriously ill children, it is a huge burden for the tertiary pediatric hospital. The mission and responsibility of the hospital is to master more and more advanced techniques to save the lives of many babies and reduce the death rate. Besides, the hospital also carries out epidemic prevention, professional support for lower level hospitals, scientific research, training, international cooperation…
“We are very interested in direct training for doctors at Vietnam National Chidlren’s Hospital, as well as pediatricians at all levels and groups of postgraduate students who come to study at the hospital. It is a great opportunity for the hospital’s doctors and nurses to participate in the data system, ensuring professional knowledge to best serve patients” – Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Minh Dien emphasized.
When the ceremony ended, the KidsCareEverywhere team conducted training on how to access and use DynaMed for the hospital’s medical staff. At the same time, the group also trained 15 key doctors to become instructors to access and use DynaMed when KidsCareEverywhere is not available at the hospital to continue instructing medical staff at the hospital, as well as medical staff at lower level hospitals.
