The first year of life is a golden period not only for the physical and intellectual development of the child, but also an important period for providing essential protection for the child. In the newborn baby, the immune system is still very immature, the main protective “bullet” is the IgG antibody that the baby receives from the mother during the last 3 months of pregnancy, and later through the colostrum. However, from 3 months of age, babies begin to enter a period of high risk of exposure to dangerous pathogens, and they also enter the “immune gap” period from the age of 6 months. Therefore, providing children with active immunity to protect them from pathogens during this period is extremely important for their health.
