Vietnam National Children’s Hospital Receiving Liku Robots from Torooc Inc. donated by The Public Procurement Service (PPS)

On 17 December 2025, Vietnam National Children’s Hospital in Hanoi hosted a ceremony to receive a donation of Liku Robots, an innovative technological solution designed to support emotional care and education for pediatric patients. The robots, manufactured by Torooc Inc. of the Republic of Korea, were procured and donated through the Public Procurement Service (PPS) of Korea under the Vietnam Ministry of Health’s Decision No. 3774/QĐ-BYT dated 8 December 2025.

The handover event marked an important milestone in the ongoing cooperation between Korean partners and the hospital, reflecting strong commitment to applying advanced technologies to enhance both healthcare quality and the emotional well-being of children in Vietnam.

Representatives from the Innovation Product Support Center (under PPS), Torooc Inc., and the Planning and Finance Department of the Ministry of Health attended the ceremony. From Vietnam National Children’s Hospital, the leadership included Prof. Tran Minh Dien, Director, Dr. Cao Viet Tung, Vice Director, along with heads of key departments and centers.

Following the ceremony, the donated robots—40 units in total—will be prioritized for long-term care departments such as oncology and nephrology, where they are expected to provide emotional support and educational engagement for patients during their treatment journeys.

At the ceremony, Prof. Tran Minh Dien emphasized that the Liku Robots have practical significance in supporting psychological care for hospitalized children. He extended sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Health, the Government of Korea, the Public Procurement Service, and Torooc Inc. for their generous support.

Prof. Tran Minh Dien also highlighted the hospital’s role as Vietnam’s leading tertiary pediatric center, which annually cares for approximately 1.3 million outpatient visits and 130,000 inpatient treatments. Over the years, the hospital has benefited from meaningful partnerships with Korean organizations, particularly in pediatric cardiac surgery and organ transplantation, significantly improving treatment outcomes for children.

The Public Procurement Service reaffirmed its mission to identify, support, and connect innovative Korean technologies with partners domestically and internationally. This donation marks the first deployment of Liku Robots in Vietnam at a major pediatric hospital and opens new possibilities for future collaboration.

Representatives from Torooc Inc. expressed honor in collaborating with the hospital and reaffirmed their commitment to refining the Liku Robot’s features to better meet clinical needs and maximize benefits to patients.
